The U.S. gives priority to both the re-opening of the Lachin
\ncorridor and a peaceful resolution between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Spokesperson
\nfor the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said this.<\/p>\n
“Lou Bono, who is in Yerevan now, continues to engage both
\non the short-term priority, which is to re-open the Lachin corridor, and of
\ncourse the long-term priority, which I – I say long-term, but we really want it
\nto happen as soon as possible, which is to reach a peaceful resolution to the
\noverall matter,” Matthew Miller said.<\/p>\n
He noted that they want the Lachin Corridor to be opened
\nimmediately.<\/p>\n\n
“Secretary Blinken has engaged with the leaders of both
\nArmenia and Azerbaijan to make it clear that we want the Lachin Corridor to be
\nopened immediately to address the really dire humanitarian situation in
\nNagorno-Karabakh,” Miller said.
