The United States is deeply troubled by the rapidly
\ndeteriorating humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. U.S. Ambassador to
\nthe OSCE Michael R. Carpenter made a statement on this. <\/p>\n
“We reiterate the call for Azerbaijan to take all measures
\nat its disposal to ensure unimpeded movement of persons, vehicles, and cargo
\nalong the Lachin Corridor in both directions,” the ambassador noted.<\/p>\n

Carpenter expressed his concern that unless immediate action
\nis taken by the sides to find a solution, the humanitarian situation inside
\nNagorno-Karabakh will continue to deteriorate. <\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We also urge leaders against taking any actions that raise
\ntensions or distract from this goal. The use of force to resolve disputes is
\nunacceptable. We pledge continued U.S. support for the peace process,” he said.<\/p>\n
