As the U.S. Secretary of State noted, what the world is
\nexperiencing now is more than a test of the post-Cold War order. It is
\nthe end of it. According to Blinken, it is Russia and China that pose
\nsignificant challenges to the international order.<\/p>\n
According to him, there used to be decades of relative
\ngeopolitical stability in the world back then.<\/p>\n
Today, however, the U.S. Secretary of State thinks
\nthat forging international cooperation has gotten more complex. He called
\nRussia’s war of aggression in Ukraine the most immediate, the most acute threat
\nto the international order. Meanwhile, according to him, the economic,
\ndiplomatic, military and technological power of the People’s Republic of China
\nposes the most significant long-term challenge.<\/p>\n
“And Beijing and Moscow are working together to make the
\nworld safe for autocracy through their ‘no limits partnership,’” he
\nstated. <\/p>\n
As Blinken noted this didn’t happen overnight, and what
\nbrought the world to this moment will be the subject of study and debate for
\ndecades to come.
