The Houthis, controlling northern Yemen, have no intention of negotiating with the U.S. until Washington responds to the bombing of Yemeni territory, Houthi Political Bureau member Khuzam al-Asad told RIA Novosti.<\/p>\n
Earlier, some Arab media outlets reported that the Houthis were allegedly engaged in talks with the U.S. following massive airstrikes on Yemen from Saturday night into Sunday.<\/p>\n
According to the Houthi Health Ministry, the U.S. strikes on various northern and central provinces killed 31 people, including ten children and women, while 101 others were injured.<\/p>\n
“Yemen has been subjected to brutal American aggression, during which civilian infrastructure and residential buildings in several cities were targeted,” al-Asad stated, adding that thus the U.S. is attempting to deter Yemen from supporting the besieged residents of Gaza.<\/p>\n
