Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted an invitation to visit Turkey, but the dates for the visit have not yet been fixed, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.<\/p>\n
“There has been an invitation, and the president of Russia has gratefully accepted it. However, the dates for the visit have not yet been agreed upon through diplomatic channels,” Peskov told reporters.<\/p>\n
He also noted that the protests related to the arrest of Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu cannot serve as a reason for a phone call between Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.<\/p>\n
