Since the declaration of independence, that is September,
\n1991, Arsakh has had four presidents, namely Robert Kocharyan, Arkadi
\nGhukasyan, Bako Sahakyan, Arayik Harutyunyan.

Before the formation of the State Defense Committee,
\nParliament was the supreme body of Artsakh. The actual leader of the country
\nwas the chairman of the Supreme Council — at that time Artur Mkrtchyan.
