The U.S. and Ukraine have agreed to exclude the use of force against commercial vessels in the Black Sea and to ensure safe navigation during a meeting held in Riyadh, the White House said in a statement.<\/p>\n
As noted, Washington and Kyiv have agreed to develop a mechanism to prohibit strikes on Russian and Ukrainian energy facilities.<\/p>\n
“The parties have agreed to continue working toward achieving lasting and sustainable peace,” reads the statement.<\/p>\n
The White House also announced that the United States intends to facilitate Russia’s expanded access to ports and establish payment systems for the export of fertilizers and food products, as well as reduce maritime insurance costs.<\/p>\n
