It is impossible to be a member of both the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the EU simultaneously, but Armenia must decide where its best option lies, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin told RIA Novosti.<\/p>\n
“We are convinced that it is impossible to be in two opposing associations, such as the EAEU and the EU, at the same time,” Galuzin said.<\/p>\n
He noted that the EAEU is an association of equal states, while the EU is an organization where “there is discipline subordinated to anti-Russian narratives cut off reality by Brussels bureaucrats.”<\/p>\n
“Yerevan must decide what the best option is. We hope that the benefits of EAEU membership and the scale of losses that could result from a break with the EAEU will be explained to the Armenian public, so that they have an objective understanding of the reality,” the deputy minister noted.<\/p>\n
