Wagner is set to be proscribed as a terrorist group by the
\nUK government. U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made an X (Twitter) post on
\nthis.

“It’s right that today we are proscribing the group for what
\nit is – a terrorist organisation,” Sunak wrote.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Proscribing Wagner as a terrorist group means that it will
\nbe illegal to be a member of the organisation as well.<\/p>\n
Spokesperson for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov did not
\ncomment on Sunak’s statement. He only noted that legally the Wagner group does not
\nexist. <\/p>\n\n
“There is nothing to comment in this regard. I should remind
\nyou that such a group does not exist de jure,” Peskov said to journalists.
