U.S. President Donald Trump has announced<\/a> that his administration has prepared a defense budget totaling “approximately” $1 trillion.<\/p>\n

“We have also confirmed a budget that amounts to nearly $1 trillion. No one has ever seen anything like this. We need to be strong; there are very bad forces all around us, so we will approve the budget, and I am proud to say that it will be the largest budget we have ever provided to our military,” Trump stated during a meeting at the White House with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

The U.S. president made this statement while discussing the operation against Houthi rebels in Yemen.<\/p>\n

The meeting included Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who did not immediately comment on the president’s remarks regarding the new budget. Later, he made a post on X, stating, “Coming soon: the first trillion-dollar budget for the Department of Defense. President Trump is rebuilding our military quickly.”<\/p>\n

As reported by American media outlets, Trump and Hegseth’s comments on the military budget came as a surprise, as the proposal was not expected to be presented until the end of May.
