The three forces of the Artsakh NA Opposition, namely the
\nArtsakh Justice Party, the Armenian Revolutionary Federation and the Democratic
\nParty of Artsakh have nominated Artsakh State Minister Samvel Shahramanyan for
\npresident.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We submitted the nomination form to the National Assembly
\nyesterday evening,” Artsakh NA MP Metaxe Hakobyan said to ABC Media.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
In response to the question whether the ruling party is
\ngoing to put up a candidate or not, Hakobyan urged us to wait for an official
\nstatement.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
“There are many reasons why the Opposition has chosen Samvel
\nShahramanian as its candidate. His career path has shown that one must be
\nupright and must observe the law for the sake of Artsakh. It is very important
\nthat we have consensus over the presidential candidate,” Hakobyan noted.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
According to Metaxe Hakobyan, although this time the
\nNational Assembly is going to elect the president, we can say that Shahramanyan
\nis the people’s candidate as well, as she has not met anyone who does not
\nsupport his candidacy. <\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
Hakobyan is sure that Shahramanyan will not make decisions
\nunder pressure, but in accord with the interests of Artsakh. <\/p>\n
