Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, Chief of the Defence Staff and the United Kingdom’s highest-ranking military officer, visited China this week, where he met with the country’s armed forces command, TASS reports.<\/p>\n
This is the first visit to China by a British Chief of Defence Staff in 10 years, coming at a time when U.S. President Donald Trump is waging a trade war with China and is therefore of great interest, but officials, including Admiral Radakin himself, have been brief on the content of the visit.<\/p>\n
In a short press release, the UK Ministry of Defence stated that Admiral Radakin and Chinese military officials discussed “issues of mutual concern.”<\/p>\n
