Moscow is extremely unhappy about the statements on Russia
\nmade by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his interview with the
\nItalian daily newspaper La Repubblica and about the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s
\ncomments made on Aug. 31; they are unacceptable, TASS’s<\/a> diplomatic sources report.<\/p>\n

“The Armenian prime minister allowed for the
\npossibility that Russia might leave the region. In fact, the West is trying to
\nartificially force Russia out of the South Caucasus by using Yerevan as a means
\nto that end. Russia, being Armenia’s closest friend, is not going to leave the
\nregion. Armenia, in turn, had better not play into the hands of the West
\nagainst Russia,” the source said. <\/p>\n
