Another staged hearing took place in a Baku court as part of the ongoing sham trials against the former political and military leadership of Artsakh. The hearing could be described as nothing but a “film screening.”<\/p>\n

David Ishkhanyan was charged with participating in what Azerbaijani authorities claim was the “capture” of Shushi. According to Azerbaijani media, Ishkhanyan allegedly admitted to blocking Azerbaijani access to Shushi under the orders of Monte Melkonyan.<\/p>\n

Whether this or any other statement was made by Ishkhanyan—with a smile on his face—while in Baku’s prison is hard to determine.<\/p>\n
