The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. local time outside the agency’s headquarters in McLean, Virginia.<\/p>\n
“The main gates of the headquarters are closed until further notice. Please use alternative routes,” the CIA stated.<\/p>\n
According to CBS News, security personnel opened fire on a female driver who approached the gates and did not stop.<\/p>\n
The woman was taken to a medical facility with injuries.<\/p>\n
