The United States may impose tariffs on Apple, Samsung, and other smartphone manufacturers by the end of June, U.S. President Donald Trump said during a press briefing at the White House.<\/p>\n
Trump was asked whether his recent post about a possible 25% tariff on Apple products would also apply to other smartphone producers. “There will be more for them,” the U.S. president responded. “That will include Samsung and others who manufacture these products—otherwise, it would be unfair.”<\/p>\n
Trump stated that the tariffs would likely be implemented at the end of next month. “I think we’ll have it properly in place by the end of June,” he said, adding that the tariffs would not go into effect if electronics manufacturers relocate their factories to the United States.<\/p>\n
