Third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has issued a message on the occasion of Republic Day.<\/p>\n

“Our people were victorious in the May battles because:<\/p>\n

What seemed impossible did not break their willpower<\/li>\n
Each and every rational reckoning that victory was impossible was defeated by the abiding determination to live with dignity<\/li>\n
Faith was stronger than fear<\/li>\n
Resolve to be free defeated despair<\/li>\n
National responsibility overpowered conformism<\/li>\n
Greater goals were acknowledged as more important that personal safety<\/li>\n
Freedom and independence remained vital, non-negotiable values<\/li>\n
And finally, temporary losses did not become a reason to accept the defeat but rather a driving force to carry on with the struggle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
And the heroic battles of May became a reality.<\/p>\n
Eternal Glory to the sons of the Armenian nation who created May 28.<\/p>\n
Hail the dedicated sons of Fatherland who in all times have been fighting with faith and determination and who have been creating victories.<\/p>\n
