\nCabinet meeting yesterday. The statement was about the possibility of the
\none-way opening of the Lachin corridor.

“Yesterday, an abhorrent statement was uttered at the
\nCabinet meeting; Plans are afoot to open the Lachin corridor in one direction.
\nThis means nothing short of robbing us of our homeland; this is a campaign of
\nethnic cleansing.

A question arises: Where is this plan being drawn up? Is it
\nin Azerbaijan? Then, how come you announced that you recognize Artsakh as part
\nof that country? Didn’t you realize that months later this was going to follow
\nfrom that statement of yours? Dozens of people have publicly warned of the
\nrisks entailed,” he wrote.

Vahe Hovhannisyan did not rule out the possibility that
\nthese plans are being devised by mediators, who — from a certain point — have
\nbeen constantly emphasizing the very fact that Pashinayn has recognized Artsakh
\nas part of Azerbaijan.

“We are on the brink of being deprived of our homeland. In
\nfact, it was this verbal recognition that set this process in train.
<\/p><\/p>\n
We have only one way to change the situation: to change the
\nlogic of negotiations. This can be done, only if the dealmaker is changed. In
\nfact, we mean this, when we say that the key to the protection of Artsakh and
\nto the end of the blockade lies in Yerevan. The change of the dealmaker implies
\nsmoothly changing the negotiation logic, averting a new war, putting the brakes
\non this process,” Hovhannisyan wrote.
