Syrian Armenian Harut Banoyan was born in 1976 in Aleppo. He
\nwas the commander of the self-defense forces in the Armenian quarters
\nthroughout the Syrian war. In 2018, Harut decided to go back to his roots; he
\nreturned to Armenia and joined the RA Armed Forces.

Harut distinguished himself with his modesty, patriotism and
\ndevotion not only in the army, but also among his friends.
