Russia is in contact with its partners in Armenia, including regarding the situation over the arrest of businessman Samvel Karapetyan, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told<\/a> reporters.<\/p>\n

“Armenia is an important ally of ours. We have rather developed and multifaceted relations. And, of course, since Karapetyan is also a Russian citizen, relevant contacts are being established,” Peskov stated.<\/p>\n

He added that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about preventing an attempted coup in the country is an internal matter for Armenia.<\/p>\n

“This is Armenia’s internal affair.
