Russia proceeds from the fact that Armenia has not withdrawn from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said<\/a> during a press briefing.<\/p>\n

“Armenia’s decision is a sovereign one,” Peskov noted.<\/p>\n

At the same time, Moscow is operating on the basis that Yerevan has not announced its departure from the CSTO, Peskov added. According to him, the Kremlin will closely monitor Armenia’s future decisions.<\/p>\n

Peskov noted that while joining or leaving the organization is entirely up to Armenia as a sovereign state, CSTO membership has been beneficial for the country.
