The United States will send more weapons to Ukraine, U.S. President Donald Trump said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We’re going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves,” Trump told reporters at the White House.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Department of Defense later announced that, at Trump’s direction, they would send mostly defensive weapons to Ukraine.<\/p>\n
