\nPolitico’s recent publication about the delays in renewing a military
\nassistance program to Azerbaijan.

“I have long opposed military assistance to Azerbaijan,
\nespecially now as Aliyev continues to violate international law and commit
\nnumerous human rights abuses against Armenians in Artsakh.<\/p>\n
We must stand by our values and get tougher if we hope
\nto secure peace in the Caucasus. I commend the U.S. ambassador to the U.N for
\ncalling for the reopening of the Lachin corridor at yesterday’s U.N. Security
\nCouncil meeting, but we must match our words with action. Azerbaijan should not
\nreceive a single cent of U.S. military assistance,” the congressman wrote.<\/p>\n
