Moscow welcomes the joint statement issued by the office of
\nthe Azerbaijani president and the office of the Armenian prime minister,
\nproving their mutual intention to normalize relations and conclude a peace

“We welcome the agreement between Baku and Yerevan on the
\nrelease of Armenian and Azerbaijani soldiers. Russia has consistently promoted
\nthe idea of exchanging detainees on the “all for all” principle. This
\ncontributes to the development of mutual trust and opens up new opportunities
\nto promote the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and
\nAzerbaijan, being in line with the 2020-2022 tripartite agreements between the
\nRussian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders. We are ready to keep providing
\npossible support in the unblocking of transport links, border demarcation,
\nconclusion of a peace treaty and development of relations through civil
