The EAFJD condemns the unthoughtful approach taken by the
\nEUMA. The latter initially denied being targeted by the Azerbaijani Armed
\nForces, but then confirmed the incident, when video evidence proving the attack
\nwas published.

“This approach not only compromises the mission’s
\ncredibility but also casts serious doubts on its overall effectiveness. Such
\nimprudent behavior carries significant political implications and, more
\nalarmingly, jeopardizes the safety of the EU mission’s staff and the vulnerable
\ncivilian border communities, who are consistently subjected to these attacks,”
\nreads the statement.<\/p>\n

According to the European Armenian Federation for Justice
\nand Democracy, it is disheartening to witness that the EUMA refrains from
\nexplicitly identifying Azerbaijan as the aggressor and does not specify that
\nAzerbaijan is responsible for the shootings and the attack on its personnel.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“The EAFJD calls upon the EUMA to ground its observatory
\nefforts on principles of transparency and accountability. This means ensuring
\nthe efficacy of their mission and maintaining a transparent approach to
\nreporting their findings. Only through the adoption of such measures can the
\nEUMA maintain its credibility,” reads the statement.
