The Human Rights Defender’s Office reported that a person
\ndied from starvation in Nagorno-Karabakh. A resident of Stepanakert, K.
\nHovhannisyan died as a result of chronic malnutrition, protein and energy
\ndeficiency.

“The blocking of the Lachin corridor has a negative impact
\non the realization of the right to health care of the people, taking into
\nconsideration the prohibitions on the transfer of patients in need of medical
\ncare to Armenia. The transportation of patients and transportation of medical
\nsupplies is carried out with the intervention of the ICRC and Russian
\npeacekeepers. At the same time, since June 15, the Azerbaijani side has
\ncompletely blocked the delivery of humanitarian aid by Russian peacekeepers and
\nthe ICRC, leading to the worsening of the humanitarian situation. There have
\nbeen cases of shortage of medicines, and in some cases, the complete absence of

\nhas been an increase in the number of premature births in Nagorno-Karabakh. A
\ncase of death of an unborn child was also registered in Haterk village of
\nMartakert region. The pregnant woman could not reach the hospital on time
\nbecause of fuel shortage for emergency vehicles.
