U.S. President Donald Trump famously declared he had “largely solved” the problem of North Korea’s nuclear weapons program. But Kim Jong-un seems determined to reignite the “fire and fury” of an international crisis, News.com<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

North Korea once suspended its nuclear program, but in 2019, negotiations failed, and the country began developing more powerful weapons that could reach deep into the U.S.<\/p>\n

Kim told officials this week that the security situation is getting worse and that it is necessary to quickly develop its nuclear arsenal.<\/p>\n

He was commenting to the 11-day Ulchi Freedom Shield military exercise which is being held jointly by the United States and South Korea. 18,000 South Korean soldiers are involved, which Kim says is actually a preparation for a possible invasion.<\/p>\n
