French Prime Minister François Bayrou is going to put a confidence vote for his government before the National Assembly, Le Figaro<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

“I have asked the President of the Republic to convene an extraordinary session of Parliament during which the government will raise the question of confidence,” Bayrou said during a press conference.<\/p>\n

According to him, the session will take place on Sept. 8.<\/p>\n

Bayrou justified his decision by citing the economic crisis, primarily the continued growth of national debt.
