Major Indian refiners, including Reliance Industries, plan to cut imports of Russian crude to 1.4–1.6 million barrels per day starting in October, down from 1.8 million barrels per day in the first half of 2025, Bloomberg<\/a> writes.<\/p>\n

The reduction comes in response to a U.S. decision to double tariffs on goods imported from India. Washington argues that India’s purchases of Russian oil help Russia continue its war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
