The ARF Supreme Council of Armenia issued a statement,
\nnoting that they would not run for the Yerevan Council of Elders Elections.

The Supreme Council noted that the Sept. 17 elections are
\nheld in a situation when Armenia, Artsakh and our people, are facing serious
\ngeopolitical challenges and threats.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
“With this in mind, the ARF’s initial position
\nwas that the opposition should run for the Yerevan Council of Elders elections
\nwith a single electoral list. However, as this did not come true, the ARF Dashnaktsutyun
\nhas decided not to put forward its separate party-list,” reads the
\nstatement.<\/p>\n

They also noted that the party will make another statement
\nafter the candidates are nominated and their names are announced officially.<\/p>\n
