The Russian side is willing to engage in dialogue and seek a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said during a press briefing.<\/p>\n
Peskov stated that one cannot wear rose-tilted glasses and expect immediate results from the negotiations on Ukraine. “I would like to recall President Trump’s words, that at first he thought everything could be resolved in an instant, but later realized that more time was needed,” Peskov noted.<\/p>\n
He added that currently, it is possible to speak of a pause in interactions at the level of the Russian and Ukrainian negotiation teams. Nevertheless, communication channels between the two countries remain open, and negotiators have the opportunity to engage.<\/p>\n
Peskov also said that European countries are intervening in the process of resolving the Ukrainian crisis. Speaking about the “West-2025” military exercises, the Russian Presidential Press Secretary emphasized that Russia poses no threat to European countries.
