Today, Aug.8, under the mediation and supervision of the
\nArtsakh Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross, 11 patients
\nwere transferred to RA specialty hospitals from the Republican Medical Center
\nof Artsakh Ministry of Health. The patients were transferred to Armenia to
\nreceive immediate medical treatment after an 11-day total blockade.

Nine of these patients are undergoing a course of in-center
\nhemodialysis. However, they are not provided with the necessary medical care on
\naccount of the shortage of medicines and medical supplies and are met with a
\nthreat of death as a result. As for the other two patients, they are in a
\nserious condition caused by cancer.

Nine patients are expected to return to Artsakh with their
\nattendants in ICRC vehicles today. They were transferred to the Republic of
\nArmenia to receive state-funded treatment.

The Azerbaijani side still does not allow the delivery of
\nessential medicines and medical supplies to Artsakh in ICRC vehicles, while
\nmany patients are still waiting for their transfer to the Republic of Armenian
\nand for the return to Artsakh after the treatment.
