About 20,000 wounded soldiers from the current Gaza war are being treated by the Israeli Defense Ministry’s rehabilitation department, of which 10,700, or 55%, are dealing with psychological wounds, Haaretz<\/a> writes, referring to Israel’s Defense Ministry.<\/p>\n

Twenty percent of those with mental wounds were also physically hurt, whereas 45% are only physically wounded, per the Ministry; 64% of the patients are reserve soldiers, and 92% are men.<\/p>\n

The rehabilitation department estimates that by 2028 it will treat 100,000 wounded, including 50,000 with psychological wounds.<\/p>\n
