“There are mediators conveying the parties’ positions to each other. However, we are not in direct communication with the U.S.,” Baghaei said.<\/p>\n
Baghaei stated that negotiations regarding the “snapback” mechanism—allowing the reimposition of sanctions—are under way.<\/p>\n
He added that in the event of hostile actions against Iran, the agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would be terminated.<\/p>\n
“No country can force Iran to implement an agreement whose core essence has been altered,” Baghaei said.<\/p>\n
