U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin let him down regarding ending the Russia-Ukraine war, Bloomberg<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

When asked by reporters whether it was time to ask Putin for a ceasefire, Trump replied, “I don’t think so. But when the time comes, if I have to do it, it will be very tough.”<\/p>\n

Trump reiterated that European countries and NATO allies should stop buying oil from Russia. “In short, if the price of oil drops, Putin will surrender. He will have no choice. He will exit the war,” he said.<\/p>\n

The U.S. president added that he is ready to consider other measures to punish Putin, but those steps would depend on whether his allies cease purchasing from Russia.<\/p>\n
