A group of US Democratic senators have introduced the first resolution in the history of the upper house of Congress calling on the US president to recognize the state of Palestine.<\/p>\n
“We are calling on the president to recognize the demilitarized state of Palestine in accordance with international law,” the resolution states.<\/p>\n
