The Israel Defense Forces announced the killing of the deputy commander of Hamas’s naval police in the Gaza Strip, The Times of Israel<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

“The Israeli Air Force killed Iyad Abu Yousef, deputy commander of the Hamas naval police, with a precision strike on the central camps in the Gaza Strip,” reads the statement.<\/p>\n

According to the Israeli military, Yousef “participated in the invasion of Israel and the brutal massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023.” Furthermore, the military added: “During the fighting in the Gaza Strip, he planned ambushes against Israeli forces and participated in ensuring the security of the terrorist organization’s assets.”<\/p>\n
