Azerbaijan is actively carrying out roadworks in Aghdam
\n(toward Stepanakert). MP Tigran Abrahamyan from the With Honor faction made a
\nFacebook<\/a>post on this. <\/p>\n

“It is noteworthy that these works started in July, in
\nthe wake of the Brussels talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Looking at all
\npossible options, we can infer that either Azerbaijan was given the right to
\nuse the Aghdam-Stepanakert route, considering the tacit consent of the Armenian
\nauthorities, or the fact of Armenia’s washing its hands of the Artsakh issue
\nserved as a green light for Azerbaijan to use this route at some point in the
\nfuture. Maybe, public statements made by some forces in Stepanakert, regarding
\nthe usage of the Aghdam-Stepanakert route gave impetus to Azerbaijan. However,
\nas far as I understand, many people in Artsakh deem this move a step to
\nAzerbaijanation and strongly oppose it. Anyway, Azerbaijan is into something
\nthat does not serve Armenian interests,” he wrote.<\/p>\n
