UN Secretary-General António Guterres called for peace in Ukraine at the UN General Assembly session.<\/p>\n

“I highly appreciate the recent diplomatic efforts of the United States and other countries. We must work toward a comprehensive ceasefire and a just, lasting peace in accordance with the UN Charter, resolutions, and international law,” Guterres said at the opening of the High-Level Week.<\/p>\n

The discussions are scheduled to take place from Sept. 23–27, with additional sessions on Sept. 29. Following Guterres, the President of the 80th General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, will also address the assembly.<\/p>\n
