Garik Karapetyan (102 kilograms) from the Armenian national
\nweightlifting team won a gold medal in the European Junior and U23
\nChampionships held in Bucharest, Romania.

The Armenian weightlifter competed in the under-20 age
\ncategory, and achieving a total of 386 kilograms (181+205), stood on the
\nwinner’s podium. Karapetyan took golds in the clean and jerk and the snatch as
\nwell.
<\/p><\/p>\n
To remind, Garik Karapetyan was also crowned winner in April
\nin the 2023 European Weightlifting Championships held in Yerevan with a total
\nof 392 kilograms.

The European Junior and U23 Weightlifting Championships is
\nheld from July 23 to Aug. 3.
