A Syrian court has issued an arrest warrant in absentia for former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, TASS<\/a> reports, citing the chief judge.<\/p>\n

“An arrest warrant was issued for Assad in absentia in connection with charges related to events that took place in Daraa in 2011,” the judge said.<\/p>\n
