Moldovan President Maia Sandu’s pro-European Party of Action and Solidarity has secured more than 50% of the vote in the parliamentary elections, meduza.io<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

According to the Central Election Commission of Moldova, after processing 99.65% of the precinct protocols, Sandu’s party received 50.06% of the vote.<\/p>\n

The Patriotic Electoral Bloc, led by former president Igor Dodon and advocating closer ties with Russia, came in second with 24.25%.<\/p>\n

The moderately pro-European Alternative party placed third with 7.98%, while the populist Our Party ranked fourth with 6.21%.<\/p>\n

The Democracy at Home party, which supports Moldova’s unification with Romania, also entered parliament with 5.63%.<\/p>\n
