British MPs from the All-Party Parliamentary Group for
\nArmenia called on the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to
\ndenounce the Azerbaijani atrocities in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenpress<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

The MPs wrote Foreign Secretary James Cleverly a letter,
\nurging him to break the British Government’s silence on the continuing
\natrocities carried out by Azerbaijan against the Armenian population of
\nNagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n

Chair of the APPG for Armenia Tim Loughton made a statement
\nas well:<\/p>\n

<\/p><\/p>\n

‘The humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is reaching
\ncrisis point. The illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor by the Azerbaijani
\nGovernment has no justification and has been done under the nose of the
\nsupposed peace-keeping forces. The deliberate denial of vital supplies to the
\npeople of Nagorno-Karabakh is the latest attempt at ethnic cleansing by the
\nAliyev Government and needs to be called out for what it is. The human misery
\nand huge displacement of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh appears to be part of
\nthe Azerbaijani plan to force out the legitimate citizens of this troubled
\narea, who are facing a threat of genocide.”<\/p>\n
