The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement on the
\nabduction of 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan by Azerbaijan. Under ICRC mediation,
\nVagif Khachatryan was being transferred from Artsakh to Armenia to undergo
\nmedical treatment.

“The release of the statement full of false narratives and
\naccusations by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan right after the
\nabduction shows that this operation was thoroughly planned in advance.
\nMoreover, the statement contains an open threat to apply the same approach to
\nother residents of Nagorno-Karabakh as well.

This mode of operation by Azerbaijan is a flagrant violation
\nof international humanitarian law: the arrest of a person under the protection
\nof international humanitarian law and the ICRC is nothing short of a war
\ncrime,” reads the statement.
