Istanbul police carried out a special operation this morning, arresting dozens of celebrities, including singers, actors, and bloggers.<\/p>\n
The operation was conducted as part of an anti-drug campaign. Among those arrested are Hadise, a participant in Eurovision 2009, İrem Derici, and others.<\/p>\n
Hadise was arrested at her home in the Şişli district on charges of promoting drug use. As part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor’s Office into the use of drugs or stimulants, authorities ordered blood samples to be taken from those arrested.
