At the CIS summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed differing views regarding bilateral trade between the two countries. Putin considered Pashinyan’s estimate to be understated.<\/p>\n

“How much has our trade with Armenia grown?” Putin asked, discussing the benefits of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This year it already stands at $4 billion,” Pashinyan said.<\/p>\n

“No, more than that,” Putin disagreed.<\/p>\n

“Last year it was about $9 billion,” Pashinyan attempted to correct himself.<\/p>\n

“More than that,” Putin insisted. “It was more last year, and it will be more this year. It’s simply obvious.”<\/p>\n

According to Moscow, mutual trade between Russia and Armenia in 2024 showed a sharp increase, reaching $11.7 billion.<\/p>\n
