At least 20 people were injured after two trains collided in the Košice region of eastern Slovakia, TASR<\/a> news agency reports.<\/p>\n

The crash occurred near the town of Rožňava. According to regional police, both trains were carrying a large number of passengers. Five ambulances and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the scene, and passengers are gradually being evacuated from the trains.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from Slovak Railways (ZSSK), the collision took place on a section of track where a double line merges into a single track. The company said that the immediate priority is to rescue and evacuate passengers and ensure the safety of the railway staff.<\/p>\n

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.<\/p>\n
