The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has confirmed the news that Odessa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov has been stripped of citizenship. The agency released a photo of Trukhanov’s Russian passport, RBC<\/a> reports, citing an SBU statement.<\/p>\n

According to the announcement, Trukhanov is a Russian citizen and holds a valid Russian passport issued in 2015.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Trukhanov’s representatives submitted a request to a Russian authority, after which the Moscow Regional Court annulled his Russian passport.
