\nmade a statement, calling on the RA authorities to change their disastrous
\nposition on the Artsakh issue.
<\/p><\/p>\n
The statement reads: “Since Dec. 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has
\nbeen committing a new crime against the Republic of Artsakh by imposing the
\nblockade. The total ban on the transportation of humanitarian aid, continuous
\ndisruptions to gas and power supply, regular acts of military aggression and
\nprovocations and the campaign of terror are aimed at breaking the free will of
\nthe people of Artsakh, infringing on their right to self-determination and
\nforcibly subjugating them. In fact, the outcome will be ethnic cleansing.
<\/p><\/p>\n
It is noteworthy that the Republic of Artsakh acquired its
\ncurrent legal and political status as a result of an exercise of the popular
\nwill through three referendums, the Constitution adopted as a result, and the
\nformation of state agencies. The statehood of Artsakh and the right of the
\npeople of Artsakh to be free and independent in their homeland are universal
\nvalues. And even the threat of war will not deter the people of Artsakh from
\nholding onto these values.
<\/p><\/p>\n
We demand that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia
\nchange their disastrous position and hold onto these values. No authority holds
\nthe right to either change the status of Artsakh, lulling people into a false
\nsense of peace, or lower the internationally recognized standards of people’s
\nright to self-determination. The RA authorities have to abide by the
\nDeclaration of Independence, the RA Constitution and the July 8, 1992, decision
\nof the RA Supreme Council.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Dear compatriots, we call on everyone to join the Hayakve
\ninitiative, to become its driving force, to actively participate and ask the
\npatriotic people around you to participate in the signature collection, so that
\nthe exercise of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination will
\nbecome possible, in that Hayakve is a pan-Armenian initiative without any
\nrestrictions or party affiliations.
