Yesterday, a group of people from Artsakh, accompanied by
\njournalists, left Yerevan for Kornidzor, trying to reach the Hakari bridge.
\nTheir aim was to cross the bridge and arrive in Artsakh. Before their
\ndeparture, they informed the RA NSS about their plan of action.

“We were well received at the Armenian roadblock. We
\ntold them that we had permission from the NSS. In response, the security
\npersonnel told us that under the new regulations, we had to communicate our request
\nto the Russian command. The Russian peacekeepers were to come to the neutral
\nzone and lead us to the checkpoint,” action participant Armine Martirosyan
\ntold ABC Media.
<\/p><\/p>\n
<\/p>According to her, they wanted to show the world that
\nAliyev’s statements that the road is open and there are no obstacles to
\narriving in Artsakh, are false.<\/p>\n
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We were kept waiting for four hours at the Armenian
\nroadblock. Then, we tried to contact the Russian peacekeepers on the number
\nthat we were given. However, they neither answered, nor approached us. We tried
\nto contact them by other means, but were told that it could not be organized,”
\nArmine Martirosyan said.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Unable to continue their journey, the action participants
\nreturned to Goris. Afterward, they came back to Yerevan with the rest of the
\nArtsakh residents, waiting for them in Goris.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We need to continue to work towards the unblocking of
\nthe corridor. There is no point in sitting and waiting for Aliyev’s statement.
\nAt first glance, these actions may seem absurd, but we must take new actions
\nevery single day. The road must be unblocked. Besides losing our territories,
\nwe are also losing our compatriots,” the participant said.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Armine Martirosyan is convinced that they reached their
\ngoal, i.e., they showed the international community that Aliyev is lying.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“We have another goal as well. We want this issue to be
\nwidely discussed, as sometimes it seems that the issue of the blockade of
\nArtsakh is already of no interest,” Armine Martirosyan said.
